You can find Standards by searching Standards Australia Online (via Techstreet) or by clicking the Databases link under Library Search on the Library homepage.

To view and download documents you will need

  • PDF Reader like Adobe Acrobat
  • the FileOpen plugin.


These are free to download and you can find them on the Techstreet platform (see the image below).

Foxit PDF reader is available on campus student PCs.

We recommend Mozilla Firefox as the most effective browser for accessing and viewing Standards from the Techstreet platform.

If you are using a different browser, like Google Chrome, make sure you are opening the PDF using the PDF Reader, otherwise you may get an error message or a blank PDF. Chrome is set to default to open a PDF in the browser. To avoid this, click the drop-down arrow next to the downloaded file and choose ‘Always open with…(PDF Reader)’ or right-click and open with the PDF Reader.
