EndNote is not compatible with cloud-based applications or file sharing services. It can only be used with the desktop version of Microsoft Word, with documents saved on local drives (not in Dropbox, OneDrive etc.). The Cite While You Write toolbar will not be available in online versions of Word.
If you are working collaboratively on Word documents online, wait until a draft is complete before downloading, and save to a local drive before inserting your citations.
