General
Rooms and Access
- Room booking systems are place but the four different systems don't integrate yet
- The silent study room has had the lock changed so the door can stay closed, preserving the quiet space inside. We have asked security to open it at 8:00 am and leave it open until 1:00 am.
Opening hours
- Staffed hours are 8:30 am - 8:00 pm on weekdays and 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm on weekends and public holidays
- After-hours access for students and staff via tap at the outside of the building is between
- 8:00 pm - 1:00 am weekdays
- 8:30 am - 12:30 pm and 5:00 pm - 1:00 am weekends
Parking
- Paid parking is available at a number of locations nearby.
- Parking under Danala is free for staff based there until the new parking system is in place.
Miscellaneous
- CDU students and staff and LANT staff can get their ID card printed at the level 2 service desk.
- Please get all lost property to Security staff.
- Paper for the printers can be found in the staff store room 2.09C.
- There will be no EV chargers onsite at Danala
- The new name for the Art Gallery is Midpul Art Gallery
- From Monday 24 March, security will be handling locker keys for the building
Members of the Public
- All are welcome to use the space during our staffed hours.
- Can become members but make sure folk understand that without CDU credentials:
- borrowing is limited to what is on campus, i.e., Law, Business and IT books (at time of writing)
- they won't be able to book rooms.
- they won't be able to print or photocopy
- no access to lockers
- Public access to WiFi is available.
About LANT
- Please direct queries to LANT via email ask@lant.nt.gov.au or phone 1800 019 155.
- There will be books for loan there.
- Their opening date is Monday 24 March, they will be open 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday to Friday
CDU Students
- Student cards will enable access to all CDU campus Libraries.
- A bus service for students travelling between all greater Darwin campuses has been updated for Semester 1: https://www.cdu.edu.au/current-students/life-health-wellbeing/bus-service
- There is a printer located on levels 3 and 4 in the corridor to the classrooms as well as one in the Library space. The printer in the Library space is "casprint".
- Students can access the building between 7:30 am and 1:00 am daily
CDU Staff
Room access, systems access and CDU Issued equipment
- If a new Faculty staff member presents needing assistance with any of these, please make sure they have raised it with their line manager first as there may already be something in train.
- If staff need help with IT matters, please have them log jobs - unless it is about a current classroom issue
- Staff can access the building between 7:00 am and 1:00 am daily
