New books and periodicals are located on a display on the 1st floor.

Books with a Dewey number ranging from 001 to 499 are located on the 2nd floor.

Books with a Dewey number ranging from 500 to 999 and the Law Collection, books with 340 to 349, are located on the 3rd floor. 

Call numbers can be broken down in order of importance as follows:

• Purple: Signifies the collection of the item - either blank, LAW (340-349 found in the Law Collection) or various letter eg A (820-830 found in the Main Collection)
• Red - General subject matter in numerical order from 001 to 999

  • Books with a Dewey number ranging from 500 to 999 and the Law Collection, books with 340 to 349, are located on the 3rd floor.
